Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Play casual eight-ball with the rules shown here. Called pockets and special tournament break rules are not used.

Read before acting

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Clear your assigned group, then legally pocket the eight. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Break the rack.
  2. First legal group pot assigns solids/stripes.
  3. Hit your group first and pocket a ball or contact a rail.
  4. Fouls grant ball in hand.
  5. Play the eight after your group was cleared.

Controls

Touch to aim/place cue ball; set angle and power; Shoot. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

Pocketing eight before clearing your group loses. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

No object-ball contact is a foul. Check the rule before repeating the action. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
